Transferring Medicaid from Idaho to Wyoming
Medicaid never transfers between states. When you leave Idaho, that case closes, and Wyoming needs its own application through Wyoming Department of Health, Division of Healthcare Financing. Apply as soon as you arrive — eligibility starts from your application, and many states can also pay earlier bills from as early as the third month before the month you apply (a shorter period applies to applications filed from January 1, 2027).
